Michael Hoyle
Since beginning his professional theatre career in 2003, Michael has held various roles, from technical manager at Theatre Royal Lincoln to professional lighting designer. He toured the UK as a production lighting designer and engineer for various national tours, ranging from plays to live music.
In March 2012, Michael became the Technical Manager at the University of Lincoln's Lincoln Performing Arts Centre, where he was the resident designer from 2012 to 2020. His expertise covers technical theatre specialities such as management, lighting, set design, live sound and scenic construction.
In 2018, Michael authored and developed the BA (Hons) programme in Technical Theatre and Stage Management at the University of Lincoln, leading it until 2022. Michael then transitioned to Director of Professional Practice and Enterprise at Lincoln School of Creative Arts and has since developed StageLinc, a new subsidiary production company at the University of Lincoln, working on a broad range of events, from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (2022) at Lincoln Cathedral to Lost Village Festival.
